Holiday Market & Luncheon - Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is home to a New Jersey Synod congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Our Redeemer is located in the city of Dumont, New Jersey.

The congregation recently celebrated its 75th anniversary.
 at 255 Maxwell Road will hold its holiday market and luncheon today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Baked goods, books, crafts, jewelry, holiday ornaments, quilt raffle. Luncheon of soup, bread and dessert by the fireplace from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Information: 688-2027.

Holiday Bazaar/Choral Extravaganza - First United Methodist Church First United Methodist Church is a common name for the first United Methodist church established in a particular locality. Many First United Methodist Churches exist around the world.  at 1376 Olive St. will host its annual holiday bazaar, "Olive Street Boutiques," today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church's 14th annual choral extravaganza will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday. Eight choirs from First United Methodist and First Congregational churches will perform. Program also includes congregational singing and combined presentation, "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace." Interfaith Books & Beliefs - Interested readers will meet today at 10:30 a.m. at Tsunami Books on Willamette Street to hear a panel discussion on Soka Gakkai Soka Gakkai (sō`kä gäk`kī) [Jap.,=Value Creation Society], Japan-based independent lay Buddhist movement. A theological offshoot of Nichiren Buddhism, it was founded (1930) as the Soka Kyoiku Gakkai [Value Creation Educational  Buddhism, the Lotus Sutra Lotus Sutra

Service of Remembrance - Central Presbyterian Church Located on the northeast corner of Brazos and Bois d'Arc (now Eighth Street), Central Presbyterian Church in Austin Texas traces its roots to the organization of the first Presbyterian church in Austin on Sunday, October 13, 1839. That event, conducted by Rev.  at 555 E. 15th Ave. will host a service of remembrance Sunday at noon. Attendees may pray about someone or something they've lost, silently or with others. Opportunities to light candles, hear scriptures, sing hymns. A 10 a.m. worship service and 11 a.m. brunch precedes the remembrance service. Information: 345-8724.

Two Rivers Interfaith Ministries - "Justice, The Language Flowing Through all Faiths: Speaking the Language of Community" is the topic of a post-election discussion to be held Wednesday at noon at First Congregational Church. The program, sponsored by Two Rivers Interfaith Ministries, will explore ways that people can come together in the wake of the polarizing Nov. 2 election.
