Interfaith Prayer Service for Peace - "Transformation: An Interfaith Prayer Service for Peace in Iraq" will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Broadway Plaza, corner of Broadway and Willamette streets in Eugene. Sponsored by Faith in Action, timed to coincide with official hand-over of political power to Iraqi government. Information: 343-9904.

 - A farewell prayer service for Father John McGrann, St. Jude parish priest for the past six years, will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the church, 4330 Willamette St. McGrann is transferring to Holy Trinity Parish in Beaverton. Information: 344-1191.

Springfield Church of the Brethren Church of the Brethren: see Brethren.  - Christian Peacemaker team member Matt Chandler will speak about his experiences in Iraq at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, 1072 Main St. in Springfield. Refreshments to follow. Information: 746-2278.

First Christian Church First Christian Church can refer to:

 - The Fort Wayne Children's Choir will perform at the 11 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 1166 Oak St. The choir has performed in festivals across the country and in Europe, and is in Eugene as part of the Pacific International Children's Choir Festival. Information: 344-1425.

Jehovah's Witnesses - An estimated 800 Jehovah's Witnesses from the Eugene-Springfield area are attending a three-day "Walk with God" convention that continues today and concludes Sunday at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma. Convention is open to people of all faiths or no religious affiliation. Information: 687-1459 or 953-6931.
