Dzogchen Meditation Center - Summer retreats with Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche (1965- ) is a Buddhist meditation master and scholar from Dzogchen Monastery and Dzogchen Shri Singha Monastic University in Tibet].

He is a 33rd generation lineage holder of the Dzogchen lineage of Buddhism.

Spiritual Growth Center - The annual full moon meditation will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Park, Fern Ridge Reservoir Fern Ridge Reservoir is a reservoir on the Long Tom River in the U.S. state of Oregon. The reservoir is located approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Eugene on Oregon Route 126. Fern Ridge Reservoir is a U.S. . The event will include drumming, dancing and meditation as the full moon rises over the reservoir. Participants should bring musical instruments, lawn chairs and snacks to share. Vacation Bible School (VBS) is the term for a special type of religious education which caters toward children, usually during the summer.

The origins of Vacation Bible School can be traced back to Hopedale, Illinois in 1894. D.T.

Eugene Zendo - A free introduction to zazen zazen

Sitting meditation as practiced in Zen Buddhism. The disciple sits in a quiet room, breathing rhythmically and easily, with legs fully or half crossed, spine and head erect, hands folded one palm above the other, and eyes open.

Springfield Baha'i - "The Purpose of Life in the Family and Society" will be the topic for Wings of Words, a monthly, interfaith devotional to be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Springfield City Hall, 225 Fifth St., Springfield. Church of Christ - A summer lecture series, "Conversion to Jesus Christ," will continue at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 1005 Coburg Road. St. Paul Center United Methodist Church - A free workshop to explain assistance provided by Senior and Disabled Services will be offered from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 332 N. 58th St., Springfield.

Outreach worker Anna Marie Koski and Jan Silva of the Caregiver Support Program will give an overview of Senior and Disabled Services, outreach services and the Caregiver Support Program. Information will be provided on referrals, protective services, Medicaid and financial services, transportation, home and community long term care, senior meals, case management, energy assistance, food baskets, loaned medical equipment, assistance with yard work, free respite care Respite Care

Short-term or temporary care of a few hours or weeks of the sick or disabled to provide relief, or respite, to the regular caregiver, usually a family member.
