THANK YOU.AS the end of 2001 nears, the Daily News would like to thank and acknowledge those readers who contributed to the Public Forum and made it one of the best read and lively parts of the paper. The roster of letter writers includes more than 1,400 names, many of whom wrote several letters during the past year. We received more letters than we had space to print, but we have tried to publish a cross section that represented what our readers were saying, while allowing individual voices to be heard. You began the year arguing about whether George W. Bush was elected or selected - some of you are still debating that. And that's what the Public Forum is about, people getting to have their say. Publishing divergent views. The letter discussions ranged from ``Harry Potter'' and Satan; God, atheism atheism (ā`thē-ĭz'əm), denial of the existence of God or gods and of any supernatural existence, to be distinguished from agnosticism, which holds that the existence cannot be proved. and patriotism, the Second Amendment, Rush Limbaugh Rush Hudson Limbaugh III (born January 12, 1951) is an American conservative radio talk show host and political commentator. Your hearts went out to the victims and their families, to the New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of firefighters and police, to the tough people of New York who got back up and did what had to be done. Along with the sympathy came a still white-hot anger at the terrorists and overwhelming support for striking back at those responsible for the horror. You letter writers poured your hearts out and by taking the time to write, you let us see what was really important to you. We tried to keep track of all contributors and we begin publishing your names today and will continue to publish them through the end of the year. This is our way of saying thank you.
