TFN Board Names Solomon President and Chief Executive Officer.

: The Football Network announced today that they had unanimously approved the appointment of Jerry Solomon to President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Solomon, who joined the TFN Board in April, will immediately assume the role of overseeing the development of TFN and its planned 24 hour a day cable network devoted entirely to football.

"I have had the opportunity to be involved with many exciting ventures throughout my career," said Solomon. "I don't think there are any that match the potential that I see for TFN. I am looking forward to working with Jantonio to create a team that can bring the network and all of the affiliated elements to life."

Beginning with his stint as the manager of the Colgate Grand Prix of tennis in 1978 through his most recent production of Footloose on Ice, Jerry Solomon has had a career in sports and entertainment that has been as interesting and varied as it has been successful. Among other things, Mr. Solomon has:

-- Represented a who's who of top athletes in a variety of sports including Ivan Lendl and Michael Chang (tennis); Janet Evans (swimming); Karch Kiraly (volleyball); Shannon Miller (gymnastics) and his wife, Nancy Kerrigan (figure skating)

-- Served as President of ProServ from 1990 through 1995 when he left to start StarGames, the Boston based sports and entertainment production company.

-- Executive produced several live and made for television specials including Disney's Dreams on Ice (CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) See cell broadcast. ); Halloween on Ice (TNT TNT: see trinitrotoluene.
