EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE Edwards Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 301,000 acres (121,805 hectares), S Calif., NE of Lancaster; est. 1933. It is one of the largest air force bases in the United States and has the world's longest runway.  - Col. Jack Gregory Jr. will arrive in July to become vice commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center.

Gregory is currently the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group commander at Tyndall Air Force Base Tyndall Air Force Base is a base of the United States Air Force in Bay County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,757 at the 2000 census. The base is operated by the 325th Fighter Wing.  in Florida.

Gregory was commissioned upon graduation from Officer Training School in March 1979. After graduating from pilot training, he served tours flying F-4E and F-16C fighters in the United States and Europe, eventually commanding an F-16 squadron at Luke Air Force Base Luke Air Force Base (IATA: LUF, ICAO: KLUF) is a large Air Force Base located west of Phoenix on the outskirts of the city of Glendale, Arizona.

It has eight squadrons of F-16 Fighting Falcons and it is used to train pilots flying Sorties at Barry M.
 in Arizona.

His staff assignments include supervising security affairs programs between the air forces of the United States and South Korea, developing Middle East policy while working in the Office of the Secretary of Defense The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) is part of the United States Department of Defense and includes the entire staff of the Secretary of Defense. It is the principal staff element of the Secretary of Defense in the exercise of policy development, planning, resource , and maintained responsibility for military sales and relations with the Middle East and Africa for the deputy undersecretary of the Air Force for international affairs.
