Recently, Anissa Ann Clarke, 15, took her drum set out of the claustrophobic box when the band performed at El Camino Real High School El Camino Real High School (also known locally as "ECR" and by some more recently as "ELCO") is a public secondary school located in the Woodland Hills district of the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles, California.  in Woodland Hills during the school's Lunch Hour Rock 'n' Roll rock 'n' roll: see rock music. .

The concert was the first of the summer for the band that has been playing together for almost 2 1/2 years.

The group writes its own music and lyrics and one of its songs recently caught the interest of Grammy Award-winner Matt Forger.

Forger, the recording engineer on Michael Jackson's albums ``Thriller,'' ``Bad'' and ``Dangerous,'' is using Tessatura's song ``On Your Own'' for his new project. It is a compilation CD for the benefit of Joaquin Miller High School in Reseda, a school for students with moderate to severe physical, mental and emotional disabilities.

The group has really enjoyed working with Forger on this project.

``He's so casual,'' Tessa Clarke said. ``Sometimes he comes over to our rehearsals and he'll go through our songs and he just lets us play and sits back and listens.''

She describes their contribution as a fun and positive song.

``It's about being who you are and not letting someone tell you who you are, what to do or where to go,'' Tessa Clarke said.

As for their music in general, the band members describe it as a mix of classic rock with a little bit of funk, some blues and alternative rock. Their inspiration comes from rock legends Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin, English pop music group formed in 1968 by guitarist Jimmy Page (1944–), singer Robert Plant (1948–), bassist John Paul Jones (1946–), and drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham (1948–80). , Black Sabbath Black Sabbath are an English heavy metal band from Birmingham. The original band line up of Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Terence "Geezer" Butler (bass), and Bill Ward (drums) is the same as the current line up (2007) although there have been many shifts of personnel  and AC/DC AC/DC

While their summer-tour schedule is still being put together, Tessatura is working on finishing their CD.

``One of our main goals is to really get our CD done (and) start promoting it,'' Tessa Clarke said.

They said the CD will only feature five or six songs because they want them all to be of a very high quality rather than having a bunch of mediocre songs.

Their fan base has grown steadily in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  and Seattle, where the two sisters are from. Tessatura also toured in Seattle for a month last year and got the opportunity to play at some of the clubs where Nirvana used to play, which they were very excited about.

The group has also performed at several spots in the Valley, including B.B. King's on Universal CityWalk Universal CityWalk is a part of Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Japan originating from Universal's first park, Universal Studios Hollywood. , Cobalt Cafe in Canoga Park and Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City.

Anissa Ann Clarke said her goal for the group is to ``get our music out to everyone so they can hear it and be touched by it,'' she said. ``I want it to mean something to them.''
