TERADYNE FILES SUIT AGAINST INNOVATE LTD.

 BOSTON, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER), announced today that it has files a lawsuit against Innovate, Ltd. of Northampton, England, asserting that Innovate's Type 9000 board tester infringes a basic Teradyne patent covering board test technology incorporated in Teradyne board test systems. The suit seeks damages and an injunction against further use of the technology.
 Teradyne is a major manufacturer of automatic test equipment for the electronics and telecommunications industries, with sales of over $500 million. Its stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (Symbol: TER).
