TENNIS ROUNDUP: VIEWPOINT ONE STEP CLOSER IN TITLE QUEST.

Byline: Lauren Gustus Staff Writer

With a 12-6 victory over M.L. King of Riverside in the quarterfinals of the Southern Section Div. V quarterfinals, the Viewpoint of Calabasas boys' tennis team is just two matches away from the school's first section title.

Viewpoint (19-2) won eight of nine possible singles points, including a strong effort from tits longtime No. 1, senior Geoffrey Chizever. He swept at No. 1 and improved to 74-0 in set play this season.

Also, the first and third doubles teams each won two of three sets to help Viewpoint to the win.

``Their strength was in doubles,'' Viewpoint coach Asif Azhar said of his team's opponent. ``Our doubles played really well.''

``They totally get it,'' Azhar said. ``We had our banquet (Monday) night and I spelled it out. This is it.''
