TELESP Telesp - Telecomunicações de São Paulo S.A. (NYSE: TSP) is a telecommunications company in São Paulo state, Brazil. The company was originally formed as part of Telebrás, the state-owned telecom monopoly at the time.  CELLULAR, Brazil's largest mobile phone company, signed a US$221 million agreement with Lucent Technologies and Motorola (Motorola, Inc., Schaumburg, IL, www.motorola.com) A leading manufacturer of semiconductor devices, electronics, telecommunications and satellite systems. Founded in Chicago in 1928 by Paul V.  to expand Telesp's wireless network and to offer high-speed Internet See broadband.  access.
