TEKTRONIX BOARD ELECTS TWO NEW OFFICERS

 WILSONVILLE, Ore., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE: TEK) today announced that Carl W. Neun was elected vice president and chief financial officer and John P. Karalis elected secretary at the most recent meeting of the Company's board of directors. Neun joined Tektronix in March, 1993.
 Neun was formerly senior vice president of administration and chief financial officer of Conner Peripherals, Inc., San Jose, California. Neun reports directly to chief executive officer and chairman of the board Jerome J. Meyer. His responsibilities include treasury, audit, tax, insurance, finance, and management information systems.
 Neun formerly held top management positions with Plexus Computers, Shugart Associates, Inc., Xerox Corporation, and Burroughs Corporation. He attended the Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (M.B.A. 1967), Hamilton College, Clinton, New York (A.B. 1965). He earned his CPA in 1969, in New York.
 John P. Karalis, vice president corporate development, was elected secretary of the Company. He also reports directly to Meyer, and has responsibilities for acquisitions, legal affairs, joint ventures, corporate communications and real estate. Karalis, who joined Tektronix in 1992, previously served as senior vice president and general counsel for Sperry Corporation and as vice president and general counsel of Apple Computer, Inc. Karalis is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (B.A. 1960) and the University of Minnesota Law School (J.D. cum laude 1963). He authored "International Joint Ventures -- A Practical Guide," published by the West Publishing Co. in 1992.
 Tektronix is a leading manufacturer of electronics products and systems with positions of market leadership in test and measurement, computer graphics and television systems. Revenues in fiscal 1992 were $1.3 billion; the Company employed 10,191 people at the end of its most recent fiscal quarter.
