Shipping immediately, LABELVIEW 7.0 software offers new design and integration tools, enhanced driver and device support, and improved print performance. The latest version can also design templates for TEKLYNX PRINTPAD(TM) CE handheld Windows CE-based portable data terminal and printer.

LABELVIEW 7.0 is available in three versions: Basic, an entry level, single-user package; Pro, a mid-range product that includes database integration available in single-user and run-time configurations; and Gold, a high-end, multi-user, networkable label design product that features advanced database integration. All three versions operate on Microsoft Windows operating systems, are available in 18 languages, and support over 800 thermal/thermal transfer printers, as well as dot matrix and laser printers.

LABELVIEW 7.0 Pro and Gold incorporate latest technologies

LABELVIEW 7.0 Pro and Gold are at the leading edge of label design and output technology. LABELVIEW software now has six drawing tools that enable users to create their own shapes and graphics libraries. Most common graphics formats, including Windows MetaFiles (WMF), can be easily imported, as well as other Windows objects, such as data from Word, Excel, Access and other sources.

On the output side, LABELVIEW 7.0 Pro and Gold now support ten 2D and composite bar code symbologies to meet virtually any industry compliance specification. A Uniform Code Council and European Article Numbering (UCC/EAN) 128 Assistant has been added that is a wizard that guides users through the building of properly formatted bar codes. Both versions print over networks and the Internet.

The new version also features several new database management capabilities that provide universal data integration over enterprise networks. Both OLE DB (Object Linking & Embedding for DataBases) and ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) databases are supported to integrate LABELVIEW with Windows-based desktop applications and virtually any other mainframe, server or workstation application, regardless of the operating system. Additional database management includes a built-in database editor to create relational databases for label production, and the flexibility for users to create their own Structured Query Language (SQL) statements.

LABELVIEW 7.0 labeling software extends to handheld devices. In addition to label design capabilities for dozens of portable data terminals (PDTs), LABELVIEW 7.0 has been optimized to produce label formats and graphical user interfaces for the newly announced TEKLYNX PRINTPAD CE. This Windows CE-based portable data terminal/printer easily imports LABELVIEW label designs to extend the functionality of the full-function label system to remote locations.
