TEI to survey Corporate Tax Departments: senior tax executives to be polled this spring.

TEI 1. (communications) TEI - Terminal Endpoint Identifier.
2. (text, project) TEI - Text Encoding Initiative.
will undertake a survey of corporate tax departments this spring to obtain information concerning the size, structure, functions, and use of technology of their departments, TEI President Ray Rossi announced recently. The survey will expand upon data published by the Institute approximately 10 years ago.

"The survey will provide important benchmarking information to TEI members and facilitate informed decisions by tax directors concerning the management of their departments," Mr. Rossi Mr Rossi was created by Italian animator Bruno Bozzetto. We first meet Mr Rossi who is unhappy in life and single until he befriends his neighbour's talking dog Harold and a Witch who grants him wishes where they have many exciting adventures.  stated. TEI members have expressed a keen interest in conducting such a survey--71 percent of the respondents in TEI's 2002-2003 Membership Satisfaction Survey reported it was important that TEI conduct a corporate tax department survey.

Under the direction of TEI Corporate Tax Management Committee chair Lynn Jordan, an advisory, board was formed to develop the survey instrument and oversee the selection of a firm to conduct the survey and analyze the data. "Lynn put together a great team of TEI members and outside experts to ensure that the survey will measure items most important to our members," Mr. Rossi explained. "The advisory board assisted in determining the size and scope of the survey, its design, and the best means to reach the corporate executives who will respond. With their collective expertise, the board has been an invaluable resource for the Institute, and we very much appreciation everyone's contributions."

The Institute is close to selecting a firm to conduct the survey, which it anticipates will be distributed in May. Survey results will be published this fall.
