Tech. "We continue to look for top-flight venues to host our conferences, and registrants for our State & Local and International courses are in for a treat. These facilities are state of the art in every respect, and since they both are conveniently located near Atlanta's airport, our students will have an easy time getting to and from the program." He added that the two other university venues TEI will use during the year--Michigan State University's Kellogg Center and Indiana Indiana, state, United States
Indiana, midwestern state in the N central United States. It is bordered by Lake Michigan and the state of Michigan (N), Ohio (E), Kentucky, across the Ohio R. (S), and Illinois (W).
University/Purdue University in Indianapolis (IUPUI IUPUI Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (Indianapolis, IN, USA) )--have undergone extensive renovations, so the students at the Institute's Level I and Level II Federal courses will not be shortchanged.

Mr. Bernard announced that TEI members will be able to register for all these programs (via TEI's website) by the middle of January. He also explained that, after five years of holding the line on course fees, the Institute is increasing the fees by $100. Even still, he continued, "our programs remain a terrific bargain." For example, Mr. Bernard continued, another organization's basic state and local tax course--featuring the same topics and many of the same speakers--costs nearly a thousand dollars more than TEI's. And, unlike other organizations, TEI limits attendance at its educational programs to in-house tax professionals, thereby providing tax executives with a nurturing and solicitation-free environment in which to network.

Mr. Bernard noted that in response to feedback from students, the State and Local Tax Course had been shortened short·en

by one day (and the fee reduced accordingly). Finally, he noted that the Institute will hold a Canadian Tax Course for the first time in seven years. The program will be held in Toronto next September, but the planners have not yet decided whether it will be four for five days long. Please check TEI's website for updates.
