TEENS HAVE HEALTHY GOAL WINNING TEAM EYES NATIONALS.Byline: Daily News PALMDALE - Palmdale High School's Health Career Academy students are preparing for a national competition after winning 15 medals at the state leadership conference of the Health Occupations Students of America. HOSA is a leadership and training organization for students preparing for careers in the health care profession, with more than 67,000 members in 37 states, Puerto Rico Puerto Rico (pwār`tō rē`kō), island (2005 est. pop. 3,917,000), 3,508 sq mi (9,086 sq km), West Indies, c.1,000 mi (1,610 km) SE of Miami, Fla. and Guam. Silver winners included Victoria Melendez and Melissa Bojorquez in first aid/CPR; Michael LeNorgant in sports medicine; Erin Lyle in knowledge test for human growth & development; and Katherine Kussoy in medical assisting. Bronze winners included Liliana Hernandez in first aid/CPR; Anthony Trujillo in knowledge test for pathophysiology/creative problem solving problem solving Process involved in finding a solution to a problem.
