``We added three more counts, so he was arraigned on six counts of robbery,'' said Deputy District Attorney David Walgren.

Sylmar Juvenile Court Judge Morton Rochman ordered the teen to return to court Nov. 9 for a hearing at which prosecutors and the defense will argue whether he should be tried as a juvenile or an adult.

The prosecution will ask that the defendant be tried as an adult, based on the severity of the crime, Walgren said.

Juvenile Court proceedings are confidential, so Walgren couldn't reveal details about the accused or the case. He would say only that the boy is accused of robbing six locations in Los Angeles County.

A sheriff's deputy who heard a crime broadcast describing a getaway car used in the Sept. 24 robbery at Wells Fargo spotted the blue Toyota Corolla in which the boy was riding. Deputies followed the sedan to Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, where the youth was found hiding in the back seat.

Inside the car, deputies found a baseball cap and sunglasses similar to those worn by the robber, along with some cash. The other robberies took place Sept. 4, 5 and 10.

The teen also is suspected in a similar robbery in Lancaster at a Bank of America
