TEEN ORGANIZES GOLF TOURNEY EVENT AT RANCHO VISTA TO BENEFIT MAKE-A-WISH.Byline: GIDEON RUBIN Staff Writer PALMDALE -- Following in the footsteps of a former teammate, Quartz Hill High golf standout Ayla Friga is organizing a golf tournament to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that grants wishes to children (2.5 years to 18 years old) with life-threatening medical conditions. . Friga is organizing the tournament for her senior project. The Ayla Friga Classic will be held March 11 at Rancho Vista Golf Course. Friga said Caine told her how his band became involved in Make-A-Wish, writing and performing a song for a boy who was near death. "The money goes to Make-A-Wish for a child who's dying so they can still have some happiness," Friga said. "It helps the families too because they get to remember the good times they had."
