He played with the Boston Bruins and New York Americans. . ``We asked what happened, and he said (Krys) got stabbed.'' The 17-year-old Lancaster teen was stabbed at the June 18 party along with an 18-year-old Inglewood man and a 16-year-old from Rowland Heights, both of whom have recovered. Simi Valley police investigating the case have been very helpful, Reed said, but neither she nor her husband could speculate on exactly what happened. ``I have to leave it in the hands of the good Lord,'' Reed said. ``I can't go out and retaliate on any individuals I think might have had something to do with my son's death. I'm a strong believer in karma. I know God has a plan.'' Jackson was stabbed around 1:30 a.m. at a party with about 40 guests on North Ardenwood Avenue in a quiet neighborhood near a park at the eastern end of Simi Valley. His friends were from school and many were skateboard buddies -- white, Hispanic, Japanese, you name it.'' Jackson was born in the Panorama City area and moved with his family first to Canoga Park in the late 1990s and then to Lancaster about two years ago. He was about to graduate from Desert Winds High School, where he showed interest in various types of self-expression, including drawing and writing short stories and music. He had been an avid skateboarder since age 13 and dreamed of becoming a professional. ``He would have gone pro. He said he was going to be the next black Tony Hawk,'' his mother said. ``Skateboarding was his life. That was his world. I used to sit here and watch him practice, no matter how hot, how cold. He was very, very good at it. It was a gift.'' His four brothers are grief-stricken. One sits in Krystopher's room listening to the music he loved.
