TEAMSTERS LOCAL STRIKES KROGER IN NASHVILLE NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 26 /PRNewswire/ --- The Kroger Co.
(NYSE: KR) said today that despite a strike by distribution employees at its Nashville Division warehouse, all 68 Kroger Food Stores in Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama remain open and operating.
Distribution employees, members of Teamsters Local 327, began a work stoppage last night (June 25). Approximately 400 Kroger employees are members of the Local. The strike began after attempts by the Company to negotiate a settlement on a new contract ended after more than nine months of intense negotiations.
