TEAM Finalizes First Major Distribution Deal of the New Millennium.

Australian Independent Producer Scanbox Takes Equity Stake in "Call of the Wild" for $8.06 Million; TEAM International Distribution to Debut Series at NATPE 2000.

TEAM International Distribution, the sales arm of TEAM Communications Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMTV; Neuer Markt: TME) has sold an equity stake in its new weekly dramatic hour series CALL OF THE WILD to Australia-based Scanbox Asia Pacific Ltd., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Drew S. Levin announced today.

Under the terms of the Agreement, Scanbox will pay TEAM $8.06 million to acquire a 25% equity stake in the global television exploitation rights for the first 26 episodes of CALL OF THE WILD, based on the world-renowned Jack London novel. TEAM plans to debut the series at the upcoming National Association of Television Programming Executives (NATPE) conference scheduled for January 24-27 in New Orleans.

TEAM International Distribution, headed by Co-Presidents Larry Friedricks and Paula Fierman, will spearhead sales efforts outside of the United States and Canada, working closely with TEAM Entertainment, Germany (GmbH) in Munich, and TEAM Dandelion in London.

CALL OF THE WILD is set in Alaska and follows the adventures of "Buck" the dog, his 15-year-old companion, Miles and the boy's family during the great Klondike Gold Rush of 1897. Jack London's works have been published in over 60 countries, numerous languages and read by millions, young and old. The first season of 13 one-hour episodes, starring veteran feature film and television actor Nick Mancuso, is currently filming in Vancouver, B.C. and is scheduled to air on Discovery Network's Animal Planet and internationally this spring. The series is produced by Call of the Wild Productions through Canadian-based CINEVU Films Inc. for TEAM. Drew S. Levin and Jeff Barnash serve as Executive Producers.

The series will be announced to the national consumer press at a meeting of the Television Critics Association in Pasadena, California on January 19.

TEAM and Scanbox are developing a number of new dramatic series and are planning to co-produce at least two projects over the next 12 to 24 months. The equity investment in CALL OF THE WILD marks Scanbox's first foray into the television production business.
