 Superstation finished August with a 2.0 prime time household rating and ranked as basic cable's top-rated network in prime time, tied with Cartoon Network For Cartoon Network outside of the United States, see .
Cartoon Network is a cable television network created by Turner Broadcasting which primarily shows animated programming.
. The Superstation also ranked first in prime time household delivery with 1,631,000 households, as well as first in prime time and total day among key adult demos.

Movies helped drive much of the Superstation's success in August, including basic cable's top movie of the month, the world broadcast premiere of As Good As It Gets, which aired Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week. , Aug. 6. The Oscar(R)-winning 1997 movie earned a 6.8 household rating and drew 5,410,000 households, basic cable's largest movie audience of all time (excluding miniseries min·i·se·ries

When compared to the same period last year, the Superstation's 2.0 prime time household rating is up 5 percent vs. last year's 1.9, while the network's household delivery is up 8 percent vs. last year's 1,506,000. The network earned 1.2 household rating in total day, up 9 percent over last year's 1.1 rating, while total day household delivery finished at 946,000, up 7 percent over last year's 888,000.

TBS Superstation dominated key adult demos for the month, topping all other basic cable networks in both prime time and total day. The Superstation also exhibited growth in those demos vs. the same period last year:
