that stretch the limits of the imagination. The series features events and reports from around the world.

Highlights from the Sept. 6 episode include the following:

-- Human Crash-Test Dummy: After spending five years working for
a police force crash-investigation unit, Rusty Haight decided
that the models and data used to reconstruct accidents were
not accurate enough. To better emulate a real crash, Haight
used himself as the victim to reconstruct each incident.

-- Body Painter: Body painter Joanne Gair became somewhat famous
for the "suit," complete with vest and pinstripes, she painted
on Demi Moore for the 1992 cover of Vanity Fair magazine. In
addition to no-fabric clothing, Gair makes a model disappear
into the background of a flower print.

-- Sky Walker: Jay Cochrane, a 30-year skywalking veteran, spent
four years of his life paralyzed from a near fatal fall.
Despite his past injuries, Cochrane continues to walk the
tightrope, including a one-half mile journey at 1,350-feet
above the Yangtze River in China.

-- Unbelievable Impalements: While wading chest-deep in the
waters off the Florida Keys, Stephanie Mittler's neck was
impaled by the needle-like bill of a houndfish.
