TAYLOR-DUNN ELECTRUCK(TM) SELECTED FOR LARGEST ELECTRIC VEHICLE DISTRIBUTION FLEET IN THE WORLD

 ANAHEIM, Calif., July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Taylor-Dunn, an Anaheim, 44-year veteran electric vehicle manufacturer, has begun initial shipments on a 400-vehicle ELECTRUCK(TM) order for Sabritas, SA de CV of Mexico City. This undertaking reflects a bold step by the Mexican subsidiary of PepsiCo to be an environmental world leader in zero- emission distribution fleets. The growing Sabritas electric distribution vehicle fleet will soon be the largest in the world.
 Taylor-Dunn's newest vehicle, the ELECTRUCK, is a full-sized three- quarter-ton electric utility truck that travels at speeds up to 32 mph and has a range of up to 50 miles before recharging is required. Sabritas is utilizing the vehicle fitted with a lightweight plastic box mounted on the rear deck.
 Taylor-Dunn has put more than 100,000 zero-emission electric vehicles to work in an incredibly wide number of industries over the past four decades. The Southern California-based company has been twice honored this year with both the 1993 SCAQMD "Clean Air Award" and the 1993 SCFFA "Environmental Award."
