Agency General Manager Bob Sagehorn said taxpayers weren't invited and he refused entry to the press although any discussion of public business by the directors in attendance would violate state open meeting laws. About 125 board members, directors and consultants mingled with their wine glasses and appetizer plates while Christmas tunes played from the stage in the grand ballroom at the Hyatt hotel in Valencia. The agency has been criticized for the dinner-dance and other expenditures. It cost $7,584 to rent the ballroom and to feed the guests. More than $2,000 was spent on the entertainment, $621 for a large floral arrangement and the Christmas flowers Christmas Flowers are the popular flowers used during the festive season of Christmas.
