TAXI DRIVER ATTACKED BY DRUNK.
Dad-of-one Michael Ismail was left bruised, and with two broken teeth after the sudden, attack in Southport in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Mr Ismail, 47, who works as a Yellow Tops cabbie, was set upon at 1.50am in Hart Street by a male passenger who he picked up from the Lord Street taxi rank.
The man, who was aged in his late 20s, told Mr Ismail that he needed to go into his house to get the cash to pay for the journey home.
When the taxi driver got out of the car to make sure his customer didn't run off without paying the man became violent.
