TAPPI announces new Forum to address energy-saving strategies.The all-new International Forum on Energy Savings for the Pulp and Paper Industry The global pulp and paper industry is dominated by North American (United States, Canada), northern European (Finland, Sweden) and East Asian countries (such as Japan). Australasia and Latin America also have significant pulp and paper industries. will be held May 15-17, 2006 in Appleton, Wisconsin Appleton is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, on the Fox River, 100 miles (161 km) north of Milwaukee. As of the 2005 census estimate, the city had a total population of 70,217. . This timely event is co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Paper Council, Focus on Energy, the Center for Technology Transfer, the Agenda 2020 Technology Alliance, the U.S. Department of Energy, the USDA USDA, n.pr See United States Department of Agriculture.
