TAPPI's CorrPak[R] Competition moves to two-year cycle; recommendations sought.

The TAPPI CorrPak[R] Competition has moved to an every-other-year cycle, with the next CorrPak[R] Competition to be held in 2006. Sponsored by TAPPI's Corrugated Packaging Division, the CorrPak[R] Competition recognizes the finest commercially produced corrugated packages. As in previous years, the results of the 2006 Competition will be announced at the TAPPI Corrugated Packaging Conference and all entries will be displayed on site.

In the prestigious CorrPak[R] Competition, independent judges evaluate quality, design, graphic excellence, technical difficulty, and innovative application in deciding first, second, and third place winners, as well as awarding the "Corbie" as Best of Show. Current competition categories include: Product Protection; Self-Shipper Displays; Displays; White Liner Work; Best Application of Preprinted Liner Flexo; Innovative Use; Promotional; Student Entry; and Brown Box.

CorrPak[R] Competition organizers are currently reviewing categories and guidelines for the competition and will be making changes for the new bi-annual competition. They are interested in hearing suggestions for changes or improvements to competition rules, structure, or categories. Comments should be directed to Margie Head, [e-mail].
