TAITRA inks pact with IMS Foundation to promote EMMA Expo in India.Taipei, Feb. 21, 2012 (CENS) -- M. C. Hung, executive director of the Exhibition Department of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and H.V.S. Krishna, chairman of India Manufacturing Show (IMS) Foundation, recently inked a memorandum of cooperation to jointly promote EMMA Expo India, which is slated to take place Sept. 27-30, 2012 in Bangalore of Karnataka, India. EMMA, jointly organized by TAITRA and Taiwan's three industrial associations including Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA), Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), and Taiwan Transportation Vehicle Manufacturers Association (TTVMA), made its debut in India in 2007 and has since become popular with manufacturers of related industries there. IMS Foundation is the largest single collaborative platform of all Indian and global manufacturing, engineering and other ancillary industries, especially for micro, small and medium scale industries, to help introduce, present information about their products and services to the industrial population at large. Last year, the EMMA attracted 172 exhibitors to exhibit their products at a total of 262 standard stands, drawing 3,812 buyers and generating on-site transactions of US$20.91 million. This year the show, with the participation of IMS Foundation, is expected to see an even better picture. |
