TAB Dallas Chapter to Honor 2005 Distinguished Business Leader Raymond D. Nasher, Chairman, Comerica Bank Texas and the Nasher Company.

Nasher, Chairman of Comerica Bank Texas and the Nasher Foundation, will be honored as the 2005 Distinguished Business Leader at a September 22 luncheon. TAB recognizes Texas business executives who exhibit strong leadership skills, promote ethical business practices and contribute to the local community with the Distinguished Business Leader Award. Past recipients are Dick Cheney, Herb Kelleher Herbert D. Kelleher (born March 12, 1931) is the co-founder, Chairman and former CEO of Southwest Airlines (based in the United States).

Kelleher was born and raised in Haddon Heights, New Jersey.
, Ebby Halliday, Norm Brinker, the late Robert Dedman, Earl Nye, Ray Hunt and H. Ross Perot H. Ross Perot (born June 27, 1930) is an American businessman from Texas, who is best known for seeking the office of President of the United States in 1992 and 1996. Perot founded Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1962 and later sold the company to General Motors and founded Perot .

This year's award recipient, Raymond Nasher Raymond Nasher ( October 26 1921 - March 16, 2007) was a Duke University alumnus (1943) who was an avid art collector. Together with his wife Patsy, he amassed a substantial number of the world's greatest sculptures (including works by Auguste Rodin, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse , is chairman of The Nasher Company, which has planned, developed, and managed shopping centers shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into , office parks, industrial sites, new towns and planned residential communities. He is also the chairman of the board of Comerica Bank.

"Ray Nasher is an exemplary recipient for the Distinguished Business Leader award," said 2005 event chair Ebby Halliday. "He exhibits the qualities of a leader, and sets a standard for the Texas business community, both in his work through commercial endeavors and through his work in the arts community of Dallas."

The Distinguished Business Leader Award luncheon will be held at the Renaissance Hotel-Dallas on Thursday, September 22. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. For ticket information call 214-890-9259.
