Sysco Corporation, a foodservice marketer and distributor, and Sobeys Inc. jointly announced their intention to offer for sale the Pacific Division operations of Serca Foodservice Inc. (Business Briefs).

The purpose of the sale is to allow the Pacific Division to continue as a broadline foodservice distributor A foodservice distributor is a company that provides food and non-food products to restaurants, cafeterias, industrial caterers, and hospitals and nursing homes.
