The title will be targeted to a variety of IT professionals, from developers to CIOs, Sys-Con said, and will focus on "all aspects of the .NET infrastructure, enabling technologies, business process management and collaborative business." Editorial director Jeremy Geelan said the mission of the journal is to provide accurate editorial to information technologists working with .NET and to be "the number one source for .NET" developments.

Editorial includes information on GUI--based developments, including coverage of GDI (Graphics Device Interface) The traditional programming interface (API) for output in Windows. When an application needs to display or print, it makes a call to a GDI function and sends it the parameters for the object that must be created.  and Visual Studio, general language discussions, industry news, editorials, book reviews, enterprise--computing issues, interviews, mobile computing Using a computing device while in transit. Mobile computing implies wireless transmission, but wireless transmission does not necessarily imply mobile computing. Fixed wireless applications use satellites, radio systems and lasers to transmit between permanent objects such as buildings , using .NET on other platforms, security and Web services.

Sys-Con publishes eight other journals for professionals in the IT and i-technology markets, including Web Services Journal, Wireless Business & Technology and XML-Journal.
