Syrup brings sweet memories.Editor: I enjoyed the Summer issue of AMERICAN FORESTS American Forests is a nonprofit conservation organization that promotes healthy forests and urban tree planting. The organization was established in 1875 as the American Forestry Association, by physician/horticulturist John Aston Warder and a group of like-minded citizens . I especially enjoyed the article on Sugar Maple sugar maple: see maple. trees (Syrup Skips a Beat by Sheila Pell). I used to help at two sugar camps for some years. It's always been good to get out into the woods for morale. Your article brought back a lot of old memories of the woods. Kenny Weaver
