Porex Surgical and USBiomaterials have signed an agreement for Porex Surgical Product Group to be the exclusive worldwide distributor for NovaBone-C/M [TM] Synthetic Bone Graft bone graft Orthopedic surgery Sterilized bony tissue, often of cadaveric origin, used to fill and/or 'sculpt' bone defects Indications Spinal fusion, revision of failed articular prostheses, filling traumatic or malignant bone defects, or periodontal defects.  Particulate for applications in Craniofacial craniofacial /cra·nio·fa·cial/ (kra?ne-o-fa´sh'l) pertaining to the cranium and the face.

, Head, and Neck Surgery. Composed of Bioglass [R] 45S5, NovaBone-C/M is used as a bone graft extender in much the same way as autogenous autogenous /au·tog·e·nous/ (aw-toj´e-nus) autologous.

The product was developed by USBiomaterials based on its Bioglass [R] platform technology, and is manufactured by USBiomaterials. Bioglass has been widely used in oral surgery, with more than 450,000 implanted cases.
