Syniverse Extends Global Presence with New Regional Headquarters in Buenos Aries.

Experienced Syniverse Executive to Head CALA Operations

TAMPA, Fla. -- Syniverse Technologies (NYSE:SVR), a leading provider of technology and business solutions for the global telecommunications industry, announced today that Giorgio Miano has been appointed vice president of its Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region, and that it is also opening a regional headquarters facility in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Miano was most recently regional sales director for Syniverse's European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, and also worked for Wind Telecomunicazioni in Rome, where he was international carrier manager and also international roaming manager. Miano has previously worked in CALA and is fluent in Spanish in addition to Italian and English.

Syniverse's decision to open a regional headquarters is part of its global strategy to have local presence in key markets to focus on customer needs and customer service. The company already has customers throughout the region utilizing its CDMA, network services and GSM solutions.

Miano said he believes Syniverse's GSM solutions are an excellent fit for the operators in this market.
