Syngenta hosts training and testing event for aerial applicators.

Syngenta Crop Protection, Greensboro, N.C., hosted a training and equipment testing event for aerial applicators in Kern County, Calif., to help promote on-target application of crop protection products. The "Kern County Fly-In" was held at an airfield near Shafter, Calif., in conjunction with the California Agricultural Aircraft Association (CAAA), the Kern County Agricultural Commissioner's Office and Inland Crop Dusters. "Our goal was to help aerial applicators make on-target pesticide applications through a combination of aircraft testing and product stewardship education," said Dale Nicol, the local technical marketing representative for Syngenta who coordinated the event. In addition to spray pattern testing, the event offered lectures on tips and techniques for product application and the importance of aircraft maintenance.
