President, effective 1 December 2006. Since January 2005, Guthrie has been the Country Head for Syngenta Crop Protection Ltd. in Thailand. In this position, he successfully led the business and increased sales and market share in a highly competitive market. Guthrie, President, Syngenta Japan K.K. Andrew has had over 19 years experience in global, regional and country roles in agri-business across Asia Europe and Australia. He was appointed President, Syngenta Japan K.K., effective December 1, 2006. Immediately prior to this appointment, Andrew was the Managing Director and Country Head of Syngenta Crop Protection Ltd in Thailand, a position he held since January 2005. In this role, he successfully led the implementation of a new customer-focused strategy to increase sales and market share in Thailand, which resulted in a successful turnaround of the business.
