Software Allows Presenters to Review, Navigate and Control

SlideShow Commander(TM) allows a Microsoft(R) PowerPoint(R) presentation to be managed from a handheld computer, freeing the presenters to convey their message from anywhere in the room. More than just a remote mouse, the software application enables the presenter to navigate to any slide, see their notes and slides on the handheld computer, write on the slide by writing on the handheld screen, and use a built in timer to track and record the length of the presentation -- all from the palm of their hand.

SlideShow Commander(TM) was developed in conjunction with Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute. The application runs on the popular Palm OS (R) and Windows CE(R) palmtop computers, combined with a personal computer running Microsoft(R) PowerPoint(R) and Microsoft(R) Windows(R). The presenter has the option of using the handheld or personal computer at any time during the presentation, maximizing the freedom of expression. The handheld computer connects to the personal computer via a synchronization cable or via infrared for cable-free operation.

Although Synergy Solutions has not yet announced the release of a bluetooth enabled product, the CeBIT event demonstrated the power of SlideShow Commander(TM) as a tool for any professional who relies on presentations to convey their messages.

SlideShow Commander is scheduled to be released to the market during the second Quarter of 2000, and will be available at major retailers and directly from Synergy Solutions' website. Pricing has not been set.
