Symphony to play Mozart, Stravinsky, Glass.


Byline: The Register-Guard

The Eugene Symphony will perform music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Igor Stravinsky and the contemporary composer Philip Glass at a concert that begins at 8 p.m. tonight at the Hult Center's Silva Concert Hall, Seventh Avenue and Willamette Street.

The program includes Glass' `Facades'; Mozart's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 5 in A Major, with featured soloist Martin Chalifour on the violin; and Stravinsky's ``Rite of Spring.''

The symphony's artistic director, Giancarlo Guerrero, will conduct.

Tickets are $15 to $52 through the Hult box office, 682-5000.
