Dale Boehm Brings Extensive Networking Product and Market Experience to Support Essential Role of Precise Time and Synchronization in Next-Generation Networks

(NASDAQ: SYMM), a worldwide leader in precise time and frequency products and services, today announced Dale Boehm as vice president, market and business development for the Telecom Solutions Division. Dale brings over 16 years of industry experience and expertise delivering networking products and solutions to the marketplace. Dale has worked in product management, marketing, business development and executive management positions for several companies, including 10 years at Cisco Systems.

In his new role, Dale will lead the company's efforts in formulating strategies and executing plans to expand Symmetricom's precise time and frequency products and solutions into existing and new markets, including carrier, wireless, cable and OEM's on a global basis. Reporting to Gurdip Jande, Dale will also provide executive leadership and guidance to Symmetricom's team of market and business development managers, accountable for the overall success of the strategy and portfolio.

Most recently, Dale served Sanmina-SCI, a global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) leader where, as vice president of business development and marketing, he focused on original design manufacturing (ODM) solutions targeting the fastest growing segments of the communications market. Prior to Sanmina, he served Caspian Networks, a startup delivering network performance solutions enabling enterprises and service providers to enforce QoS policies, as director of marketing. From 1992 - 2002, Dale held several positions at Cisco Systems in the Optical Internetworking Business Unit and Cable Business Unit, playing key roles in the development and introduction of the Cisco 7000, Cisco 7500, Cisco GSR 12000 and UBR7200 product families. Prior to Cisco, Dale held positions at The Boeing Company and GTE Government Systems. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University and a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Santa Clara.
