Symmetricom Announces New 8040C Rubidium Frequency Standard.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- New rubidium frequency standard combines unmatched customization, flexibility and expandability all in a 1U rack mounted chassis

Symmetricom (NASDAQ:SYMM), a leading worldwide supplier of network synchronization and timing solutions and atomic clocks, today introduced the 8040C Rubidium Frequency Standard, now the most flexible and expandable rubidium standard in the industry, supporting Symmetricom's standard options in addition to multiple custom requirements. The new Rubidium Frequency Standard will be available at the thirty-sixth annual PTTI (Premise Time & Time Interval) Systems & Applications Meeting, December 7-9, 2004 at the Hyatt Regency in Washington, D.C.

Now more efficient to manufacture and with improved lead time, the 8040C comes standard with GPS disciplining, RS-232 monitoring and control with six configurable outputs in a 1U rack mount chassis, making the cost per output the lowest in the industry. The unit is designed for channel expansion, a low phase noise option and room for customized options.
