 and timing solutions, today announced that they have received over one million dollars in orders from Samsung Electronics Samsung Electronics (SEC, Hangul:삼성전자; KSE: 005930, KSE: 005935, LSE: SMSN, LSE: SMSD) is a South Korean multinational corporation and the world's largest and leading electronics and information technology company.  for delivery of base station synchronization modules to support the first deployment phase of a WCDMA (Wideband CDMA) A 3G high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that use the TDMA or GSM technology worldwide, including AT&T (formerly Cingular) and T-Mobile in the U.S.  network by SK Telecom. Symmetricom expects to commence product deliveries during the current quarter.

In June 2003, SK Telecom announced that it selected Samsung Electronics as a primary equipment provider to launch the company's WCDMA service, a third-generation (3G) mobile wireless technology. SK Telecom expects to offer the service in Seoul at the end of this year and has announced that Samsung will provide the initial equipment for these installations.
