, today announced that Brian Hernacki, Security Architect for Symantec Research Labs, will participate in a panel discussion at Carnegie Mellon University's Sixth International Symposium on Recent Advances in Intrusion Detection See IDS and IPS.  (RAID 2003). The panel discussion, entitled "Detecting Worms and Malicious Code," is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET at Carnegie Mellon University Carnegie Mellon University, at Pittsburgh, Pa.; est. 1967 through the merger of the Carnegie Institute of Technology (founded 1900, opened 1905) and the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research (founded 1913).  in Pittsburgh.

The security symposium is organized by the Center for Computer and Communications Security See COMSEC.  at Carnegie Mellon University, one of the nation's premier research centers for Internet security.
