Sylvia A. (Strom) Pouliot.

UXBRIDGE Sylvia A. (Strom) Pouliot, left this world peacefully on August 27, 2007, to join her dear departed relatives and friends. Sylvia had her 90th birthday on August 22, 2007. She died in the comfort of the house she was born in.

She leaves her beloved husband of 66 years, Ernest H. Pouliot; her only child, Sandra L. Shoup and her only grandchild, Harrison G. Shoup, all of North Uxbridge. She pre-deceased her two younger brothers, Carl Strom of Uxbridge and Frederick Strom of Spartanburg, SC whom she lovingly raised after the death of their mother, Elsa (Luoto) Strom in 1931. She was a devoted care giver to her father, Oskar Strom until his death 10 years later.

Sylvia was an avid bowler in her youth, winning many trophies with local leagues. Despite being declared legally blind at age 60, she reveled in playing golf until her 85th year.

She was a dedicated sister, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. All who knew her reaped the rewards of her loyalty, friendship and love. She will be missed by those she has left in her passing from this world.

There are no calling hours. Interment will be private and at the discretion of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Main St. Uxbridge.
