This new release of Antigen provides leading antivirus and security technology to deployments of the new Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server.

Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server helps organize, manage, search, and share information throughout an organization by integrating document management and search functions into everyday tools used in organizations, including Microsoft Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office applications, and Web browsers.

Virus Scanning

Sybari designed Antigen specifically for the Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, providing real-time write and manual scanning of documents as they are "checked into" the document store.

Antigen for SharePoint delivers multiple virus scan engine support for leading scan engine technologies. The Multiple Engine Manager is available for all Antigen scan jobs and allows administrators to customize and configure a variety of settings and options at each level. Multiple scan engines reduce the chance that signature files will be "out of date" and helps maintain server uptime.

Centralized Management

With Antigen for SharePoint, administrators can easily customize the defaults for scan jobs and establish custom Job Templates and File Filter Sets. The Antigen MultiInstall utility assists in the deployment and loading of named templates by allowing customized configurations to be included when the product is distributed throughout an organization with multiple SharePoint Portal servers.

File Filtering

Antigen for SharePoint also includes Antigen File Filtering(TM) (AFF). AFF enables administrators to proactively filter documents based on several filters including filename, wildcards, and file type.

Notification

Antigen for SharePoint provides e-mail notifications of all events to administrators, as well as posting all events to the NT Event Log, and the Antigen PROGRAMLOG.TXT file. Antigen for SharePoint also includes a real-time mechanism to notify the "sender" of the document if it contains a virus or meets a filter rule.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

Antigen for SharePoint Portal Server is now shipping and generally available. Antigen 6.5 for Microsoft Exchange and Antigen 6 for Lotus Domino are also currently shipping. The suggested retail price for Antigen, to protect 250 users within an organization, is $5,750.00 with a two-year renewable license (prices are quoted in US dollars, for local pricing please contact your local Sybari office).
