The Syabas NMT provides for playback of high-definition content in a variety of formats including Microsoft WMV9 and Apple Quicktime H.264 up to 1080p and is also capable of serving such content from its built-in hard-disk via its digital living room network alliance (DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) A coalition of computer and consumer electronics companies that was formed to ensure interoperability in home networks. ) compliant and CE-HTML media servers. This implementation also enables support for premium content playback with Windows DRM. "We are excited to be working together on a development that has the potential to change the consumer landscape."

"As a result of the positive response following our initial OEM roll-out, we are now engaged with a number of significant customers that intend to integrate this capability into consumer products. This is in response to the popularity of the high definition playback format and the increasing presence of high definition TVs," said TL Lim, president of Syabas Technology.
