Swimming/Acropolis Meeting: Taki Mrabet wins 2 medals, 1 gold.TUNIS (TAP) - Tunisian swimmer Taki Mrabet won 1 gold and 1 silver medal at the Acropolis acropolis (əkrŏp`əlĭs) [Gr.,=high point of the city], elevated, fortified section of various ancient Greek cities.The Acropolis of Athens, a hill c.260 ft (80 m) high, with a flat oval top c. meeting (50m basin) held from May 11 to 13 in Greece. Mrabet finished first at the 400m medley event after clocking 4:22.86, ahead of Italian Alessandro Cuoghi (4:25.37) and Greek Geogios Aryblias (4:27.41). He ranked second at 200m medley, clocking 2:04.80. Over 300 swimmers from Tunisia, Austria, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Cyprus, Bosnia, Kosovo and Greece took part in this tournament. Participation in this tournament is part of preparations for the London Olympics There have been two London Olympics (London hosting the Olympic Games), in 1908 and 1948, with a third scheduled for 2012.
