Swamper tire no-no!
Word from the field is "Super-Swamper" tires are showing up on HMMWVs. Plain and simple, these tires are NOT approved on the HMMWV HMMWV High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV is a trademark of AM General LLC; aka HUMVEE, also a trademark of AM General LLC) . Tests show this type of tire does not hold up to heat and puts extra wear and tear on the vehicle's suspension suspension, in vehicles
suspension, in automobiles, system of springs used to suspend the frame, body, engine, and power train above the wheels. Its principal purpose is to lessen the jarring of the automobile that is caused by irregularities in the roads .
