The Sport JS is powered by the smooth-revving, 1.8-liter, dual overhead cam, aluminum engine found in the JX and JLX. It generates 120 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 114 pound-foot of torque at 3,500 rpm. Equipped with Suzuki's five-speed manual overdrive transmission, the 1997 Sport JS will carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $16,699 and $17,699 when equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission. The affordably-priced Sport JS comes equipped with a host of standard features, including air conditioning, power steering, power windows and door locks, and windshield wipers
