Sutron Awarded $1,243,265 Contract from Peru's National Weather Service, SENAMHI.

Sutron Corporation, a world leader in the business of remote monitoring and control, has been awarded a $1,243,265 contract from SENAMHI SENAMHI Servicio Nacional de Meteorologia e Hidrologia (Peru) , the National Weather Service of Peru to provide the nation with its first complete automatic meteorological and hydrological hy·drol·o·gy

Sutron will supply to SENAMHI not only all equipment and software but also complete installation and comprehensive training and support. Sutron was awarded the contract under a competitive International Tender funded by the World Bank.

System components for the Peru contract include 37 Automatic Meteorological Stations (GOES satellite communications) and 17 Automatic Hydro-Meteorological Stations (GOES enabled). Also included are system "spares" and testing and calibration equipment. Sutron's stations will be installed along the coastal plains, in the Andes Mountains, and in the jungles of Peru at the headwaters of the Amazon River. Under a separate World Bank International Tender Sutron anticipates an imminent contract to provide a GOES satellite Digital Direct Readout (1) A small display device that typically shows only a few digits or a couple of lines of data.

(2) Any display screen or panel.
 Ground Station (DDRGS) to be installed at SENAMHI's Lima headquarters to receive data transmitted by the monitoring systems.
