Survivors meet in St. Louis.


As the U.S. bishops met in St. Louis for their annual spring meeting, about 200 people gathered nearby for the first national assembly of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, known as SNAP, is the oldest and most active support group for women and men abused by religious authority figures in the US. It is an independent, non-profit organization with no connections with any churches.  (SNAP).

The group named Bishop Paul Bootkoski from the Diocese DIOCESE, eccl. law. The district over which a bishop exercises his spiritual functions. 1 B1. Com. 111.  of Metuchen, New Jersey Metuchen is a Borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 12,840.

Metuchen was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 20, 1900, from portions of Raritan Township
 as the "model bishop" in addressing the U.S. clergy sex abuse crisis.

SNAP also approved the "Healing and Prevention Model," a framework that will guide SNAP leaders and advocates in addressing the needs of clergy sexual abuse victims.
